One of these is a fuel pump gone bad, and its implications for the Check Engine light are clear: because it will affect how much or even if any gas gets to the engine, this drives right to performance and emissions. A typical fuel-injected engine will be monitored by the engine control module (ECM) to determine fuel pressure it is also common for this type of vehicle to have 40-60 psi in a fuel system.
